Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue has received yet another very generous donation from the Gammill Family Foundation. Shawna Gammill Matthews, a local resident, representing the Gammill Family Foundation presented Fire Chief Ed Wilkerson with a check for $10,000 for the third year in a row.
Donated funds go to the Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue Foundation which help fund programs and training equipment for emergency medical services, medical education, and public education in Fire Prevention, Life Safety and Citizen Emergency Response Training (CERT). The CERT program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may have an impact on their community. Proceeds will also help fund annual Firefighter Recognition.
We would like to thank Shawna and the Gammill Family Foundation for their generous and continued support. Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue is a full service provider for fire, rescue and emergency medical services but these donations provide us the opportunity to better serve our community through additional educational and training programs, advanced medical equipment and public education.
